DIEGO

DIEGO（1986年生）は、東京を拠点に活動するアーティスト。10代からストリートアートに傾倒し、独学で活動を始める。街で普段何気なく目にするモノをユーモラスに擬人化したキャラクターを抽象絵画として描く。「脱臼したストリート表現」と評される独自のスタイルで、 絵画や壁画というビジュアルアートから、街中のグラフィティ、コンセプチュアルアートまで活動の幅を広げている。近年はコレクティブ SIDE COREの主要メンバーとして、展覧会の企画や作品発表も積極的に行っている。また、自身が主催する壁画プログラム「LEGAL SHUTTER TOKYO」では、世界各国のアーティストと協働し、壁画制作のディレクションも手がけている。

DIEGO (b. 1986) is an artist based in Tokyo. He became deeply involved in street art during his teenage years and began his artistic journey as a self-taught creator. His work humorously anthropomorphizes everyday objects commonly seen in the city, depicting them as abstract characters in his paintings. This unique approach has been described as a “dislocated street expression.” DIEGO’s artistic range spans from visual arts such as paintings and murals to graffiti in urban environments and conceptual art. In recent years, he has been an active member of the collective SIDE CORE, engaging in exhibition curation and presenting his own works. Additionally, he directs mural projects, collaborating with artists from around the world through his own mural program.
