7月4日（土）より群馬県前橋市のアーツ前橋にて、SIDE COREが参加するグループ展「ぬけみち展 かわす・つくる・ともにいる―生きるための回路」を開催しております。
「未来は良くなる」と希望を見出すことが難しく感じるいま、作家たちは社会や都市、他者との関係に向き合い、現実をわずかにずらす試みを行っています。本展のタイトルである「ぬけみち」は、現実からの逃避ではなく、身の回りの環境を見つめ直し、見慣れた風景のなかに別の可能性を見出すことから生まれる実践です。建築、ファッション、デザイン、演劇、ストリートカルチャー、現代アートの領域で活動する7組の若手作家が参加します。

SIDE CORE is participating in the group exhibition “The Secret Pass Exhibition: Passing, Creating, and Being Together—Circuits for Living” on view from Saturday, July 4th at Arts Maebashi in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture.
In a time when hope for a better future feels increasingly difficult to find, the artists in this exhibition confront society, cities, and their relationships with others, attempting to subtly shift reality. “The Secret Pass” is not an escape from reality, but a practice of finding alternative possibilities within familiar landscapes — born from re-examining the environment around us and forging new relationships with others. The exhibition brings together seven young artists working across architecture, fashion, design, theater, street culture, and contemporary art.
SIDE CORE is an artist collective based in Tokyo. Active since 2012, the collective comprises Sakie Takasu, Tohru Matsushita, and Taishi Nishihiro, with Kazunori Harimoto participating as a video director. SIDE CORE focuses on unraveling rules in public spaces, facilitating shifts in thinking, intervening in overlooked spaces, and expanding expression and action through the lens of street culture. Their activities, both indoors and outdoors, center on the theme of “expanding expression in urban spaces.”
Recent exhibitions include “Plastic Utopia: Our New Ecosystem” (2025, Hirosaki MOCA, Aomori), “Concrete Planet” (2024, Watari-um Museum, Tokyo), “Centennial Art Festival” (2024, Chiba, Kisarazu / Sanmu), the 8th Yokohama Triennale “Wild Plants: Living Here and Now” (2024, Yokohama), “Yatsugatake Art & Ecology 2023” at the Yamanashi International Arts Festival (2023, Yamanashi), “BAYSIDE STAND” (2023, BLOCK HOUSE, Tokyo), “Oku-Noto Triennale 2023” (2023, Suzu, Ishikawa), “rode work ver. under city” (CCBT Art Incubation Program) (2023, vacant lot beside Meguro Observation Well), “Roppongi Crossing 2022: Come & Go!” (2022, Mori Art Museum, Tokyo), “Reborn-Art Festival” (2022, 2019, 2017, Ishinomaki, Miyagi), “Water Ripple Exhibition 2021” (2021, Watari-Um Museum, Tokyo), and “Out of Blueprints by Serpentine Galleries” (2020, NOWNESS, London), among many others.
2012年より活動を開始、東京都を拠点に活動。メンバーは高須咲恵、松下徹、西広太志。映像ディレクターは播本和宜。個人がいかに都市や公共空間のなかでメッセージを発するかという問いのもと、ストリートカルチャーの思想や歴史などを参照し制作する。ときに他ジャンルの表現者を交えたプロジェクトとして、 都市の死角や隙間となる場所で多彩な作品を展開。
