PARCELは、9月3日から6日までCOEXで開催される4回目のFRIEZEソウルにて、2012年に結成された日本のアーティスト・コレクティブ SIDE CORE によるソロプレゼンテーションを発表致します。4名のアーティストから構成されるSIDE COREは、公共空間におけるルールを紐解き、思考の転換、隙間への介入、表現やアクションの拡張を目的に、「都市空間における表現の拡張」をテーマに屋内・野外を問わず活動しています。また、2024年の横浜トリエンナーレに参加し、さらに2025年10月には金沢21世紀美術館での個展も開催予定です。

PARCEL returns to Seoul for the fourth edition of FRIEZE, taking place from 3–6 September at COEX. The gallery is delighted to announce a solo presentation by Japanese artist collective SIDE CORE, founded in 2012. Comprising four artists, SIDE CORE explores the rules governing public spaces, challenging conventions to facilitate shifts in perception. They have been recently featured in the Yokohama Triennale 2024 and are scheduled for a solo exhibition at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa in October 2025.

SIDE CORE is an artist collective based in Tokyo. Active since 2012, the collective comprises Sakie Takasu, Tohru Matsushita, and Taishi Nishihiro, with Kazunori Harimoto participating as a video director. SIDE CORE focuses on unraveling rules in public spaces, facilitating shifts in thinking, intervening in overlooked spaces, and expanding expression and action through the lens of street culture. Their activities, both indoors and outdoors, center on the theme of “expanding expression in urban spaces.”
Recent exhibitions include “Plastic Utopia: Our New Ecosystem” (2025, Hirosaki MOCA, Aomori), “Concrete Planet” (2024, Watari-um Museum, Tokyo), “Centennial Art Festival” (2024, Chiba, Kisarazu / Sanmu), the 8th Yokohama Triennale “Wild Plants: Living Here and Now” (2024, Yokohama), “Yatsugatake Art & Ecology 2023” at the Yamanashi International Arts Festival (2023, Yamanashi), “BAYSIDE STAND” (2023, BLOCK HOUSE, Tokyo), “Oku-Noto Triennale 2023” (2023, Suzu, Ishikawa), “rode work ver. under city” (CCBT Art Incubation Program) (2023, vacant lot beside Meguro Observation Well), “Roppongi Crossing 2022: Come & Go!” (2022, Mori Art Museum, Tokyo), “Reborn-Art Festival” (2022, 2019, 2017, Ishinomaki, Miyagi), “Water Ripple Exhibition 2021” (2021, Watari-Um Museum, Tokyo), and “Out of Blueprints by Serpentine Galleries” (2020, NOWNESS, London), among many others.
2012年より活動を開始、東京都を拠点に活動。メンバーは高須咲恵、松下徹、西広太志。映像ディレクターは播本和宜。個人がいかに都市や公共空間のなかでメッセージを発するかという問いのもと、ストリートカルチャーの思想や歴史などを参照し制作する。ときに他ジャンルの表現者を交えたプロジェクトとして、 都市の死角や隙間となる場所で多彩な作品を展開。
