Chiezo Taro will be featured in the collection exhibition “MOMAT Collection,” opening on September 26 at The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo.
The MOMAT Collection exhibition is one of the largest in Japan, displaying approximately 200 works each term from the museum’s holdings of more than 14,000 works acquired since its opening in 1952. Across 12 rooms, each structured around a unique theme, the exhibition traces the narrative of Japanese modern and contemporary art from the late 19th century to the present day — making it one of the most comprehensive surveys of its kind in the country.
