この度PARCELは、太郎千恵藏の1990年代と新作の絵画を中心とした展覧会を開催いたします。PARCELでは2023年の「90’s and : /or 20’s」に続き、2度目の個展になります。太郎千恵藏は、1991年にニューヨーク・ソーホーのギャラリーでデニス・オッペンハイムらと「見えない身体」展で芸術家としてデビューしました。そして翌年「ポスト・ヒューマン」展においてマイク・ケリー、キッペンバーガーらとヨーロッパの５美術館を巡回しました。奈良美智、村上隆らを有した1990年代のネオポップを代表する作家です。

PARCEL is pleased to present an exhibition showcasing both new works and paintings from the 1990s by Chiezo Taro. This marks the artist’s second solo exhibition at PARCEL, following 90’s and : /or 20’s in 2023.

Chiezo Taro made his artistic debut in 1991 at the Invisible Bodies exhibition at a gallery in SoHo, New York, alongside artists such as Dennis Oppenheim. The following year, he participated in the Post-Human exhibition, which toured five major art museums in Europe, featuring works by Mike Kelley, Martin Kippenberger, and others. As one of the leading figures of the Neo-Pop movement of the 1990s, alongside artists like Yoshitomo Nara and Takashi Murakami, Taro’s work has played a significant role in shaping contemporary art.
